It would better be named as "Indicating instrument, General symbol" (Secretary's note: Accepted. Change introduced also for S00911 and S00912.); General remark: As electrical engineers knows well that the term "indicating instrument", but the term may be misunderstood that the graphical symbol indicates measuing instrument in general. Thus, the term "indicating instrument" should be defined in the IEV. JP(HIKE): Symbol S00912 should be named "Integrating/combined indicating/recording instrument" to reflect its function. (Secretary's note: Principally correct, but we leave this as a future change.) JP(HIKE): Symbol S00912, "Energy meter" in "Usage" is not enough. It is an example. The usage of this general symbol something different (more general). (secretary's note: "Usage" is intended to list examples of alternative names, so far it is correct as it is.)
