The symbols are proposed to be withdrawn as they are no more considered to be actively used in practice.
In this context, the name of the symbol S00181 should be changed from "Actuator (operated by roller)" to "Actuator (operated automatically by a mechanical device)"

Closing date for evaluation 2001-07-11.
FI(TAVI): Symbols S00175 - S00185: We should first check the situation on ISO TC 10 side and after refer ISO symbols.
DE(RESC): Symbols S00175...S00185: I know, that this symbols are still in use - e.g. in IEC 61082-2 pictures 8 and 9- but also in practice. So my proposal is to manage this CR via the extended data bas procedure.
AT(WGAS): This symbols are not often used but very useful for their special applications.
JP(HYAM): Symbols S00175...S00185: These symbols may be still used now. It need more time to determine the symbols to be withdrawn.
NO(ES): If these symbols are still used in some applications, I believe that they should not be deleted, although they seems to represent an old fashioned way of describing things.
Secretary's conclusion: There seems to be widespread hesitation in the Validation Team for withdrawal of these symbols. Therefore, I think that we should not proceeed to validation with this CR. I will change the status of the CR to "resolved" without any furhter action for the time being. |
