This propsal is about a thorough cleaning up of all conversion related symbols, initiated by the the Task II proposal for Part 6 to withdraw symbol S00892. The change request covers also one of the proposals in C00024.
A survey of present conversion related symbols is presented in the mind map "Conversion related symbols, present state.pdf" attached below. It shows that there are duplications and some illogical links.
A corresponding map on the desired state is also attached "Conversion related symbols desired state.pdf".
Based on these maps the following changes are proposed:
S00892: Withdraw this symbol. The graphics correspond to that of S00214, but the name corresponds to S00213. Looking at how it is being used, the proper name should have been "Conversion, general symbol". Therefore the associated links should be moved to S00214.
S001231: Withdraw this symbol. It is a duplication. Move the associated links to S00213.
S001407: Link this as an application of S00214.
The keywords of the withdrawn symbols need also to be fully covered by the keywords of S00213 and S00214.
