S01225 Add a connection line to the symbol.

S01226 Move "500 Hz" to be shown below the square symbol.

S01229 Move the arrow from the sine wave symbol to the upper left corner of the symbol.

S00213 Add terminal lines on both sides.

General comments:

Comments at evaluation:

Submitted for evaluation 2002-02-26. Evaluation closing 2002-04-26. Extension until 2002-04-30.

DE(RESC): I agree for the normal database procedure.

AT(WGAS): I agree to the proposal.

CN(GUTI): I agree the proposal.

JP(HIKE): We basically agree to the proposal. However, if it is appropriate to raise a related comment to S01226 and S01229 for sine-wave generator,
- Letter "G" and sine-wave sign are superfluous; (Comment by the Secretary: A signal generator could create other wave forms than sinusoidal so I think the sine symbol is necessary. The "G" could possibly be left out since the symbol has just one output. I think, however, that the symbology is more clear as it is.)
- A lot of examples of a symbol "sine-wave sign within a circle" have been practically used in equivalent circults, basic electric circuits appeared in technical books and education materials, in combination with S01423 (DC supply, general symbol) in C00024;
- "sine-wave sign within a circle" is also used for signal source at various frequencies.
These actual situation should be considered and implemented in IEC 60617 database. (Yes, please enter a formal Change request on the proposal. Consider then also the ongoing work in TC25 on ideal circuits.)

FI(TAVI): I agree the proposal with comments from Japan.

DK(KATH): We agree to the proposal but with a single question: How to place "f" in S01229 ?? Use the normal database procedure. (Comment by the Secretary: The "f" is a quilifyer to the adjustability arrow so it is not out of place. I understand the comment, however, it looks a bit strange. I suggest that the "f" is slightly lowered and then I suggest the general appearence of the symbol be improved by making it 1M to 2M wider.)

Conclusion by the Secretary: The change request will be submitted for validation, with the graphical modification suggested in the comment to DK(KATH).
