To introduce a symbol for AC power supply.
1) The proposed symbol has been in general use to represent AC power supply.
2) For users’ convenience, the symbol for AC power supply should be defined as dc supply function considering its frequent use.

Reason:

This symbol is proposed because there is no other applicable symbols in IEC 60617.
