Proposal:
To include in the descriptive names the word "earthing", to read:
S00447 Protective earthing conductor
S00448 Combined protective earthing and neutral conductor
S00449 Three-phase wiring with neutral conductor and protective earthing conductor
S01928 Combined protective earthing and line conductor (PEL)

Reason:
As the protective conductors of the symbols S000447, S00448, S00449 and S001928 are earthed (including the PEN conductor), this should be visible in their descriptive names. Note that this does not apply to S00460 and S00528, as both earthed and unearthed conductors can be connected to them.

General comments:
In consequence of 3/1443/DC

Comments at evaluation:
FI(ARSI): Finland support to add word "earthing" to the names of S00447, S00448, S00449 and S01928.
Graphical symbol S00448 is replaced by S01929, so if outcome of evaluation of C00288 is accepted then S01929 should be considered also.

JP(HIKE): Japan NC is in favour of adding the word "earthing" to the respective name of S00447, S00448, S00449 and S01298 as proposed. Process with Normal Database Procedure.

NO(KG): Norway NC support the adding of the word "earthing" as proposed. However, according to IEV 195, the name of relevant conductors are PEN conductor, PEM conductor and PEL conductor. Thus, the name the symbol S01929 should be "PEN conductor", with the alternative names: "PEM conductor, combined protective earthing and neutral conductor, Combined protective earthing and mid-point conductor".
For the proposed new symbol S01928, the name should be: "PEL conductor", and the alternative name should be "Combined protective earthing and line conductor".
Proceed with normal procedure.

Secretary Resolution: The Evaluation was closed with comments to modify the proposal. The C00288 is Withdrawn. New Change Request will be set up.
