The text of the application note A00269 referenced from symbols S01463, S01464, S01465 should be editorially corrected as follows:
- All references to the old publication are replaced by new ones, and the text editorially revised accordingly;
- The existing application note is split in two language variants;
- The original clause 4.7 is defined as a separate application note A00351. This note shall, in addition to the mentioned symbols above, also be referenced from all symbols listed in it.
The new texts, as well as the illustrations, are attached below. The new A00351 is also entered into the database, but not yet linked anywhere. It is found via "Application notes".
The VT members are kindly requested to comment whether they prefer A00351 in present form, or alternatively, that the following text be entered as a Remark on all symbols listed in A00351:
"The symbol shall be oriented as shown with respect to the inputs, outputs and outlines of the elements in which it appears. That is, the symbol, together with any associated terminal lines, shall be mirrored when the direction of signal flow is reversed."
The first method follows the original text, but the latter lets a reader get hold of the content in a more direct way.

Conclusion by the Secretary 2006-08-21: The Change request is approved and shall be implemented.
Application note A0351 will be linked. As a consequence of this all the numbers of the linked symbols have been added to the list above.
When implementing the change a couple of typing errors were detected in A00351: S01482 was missing and S01498 changed to S01500.
For archiving purposes have the old versions of A00269 been attached below. |
